Friday 26 Mar 21 Vultures, What does this mean
26 Mar 21
I didn't get up until 9. After walking the dogs for their morning potty break I made oats for breakfast. After breakfast I finished yesterday's blog entry. My only plans for the day was to get to Modesto and checkout the Carlos Rossi Distillery so I was in no hurry to get on the road.
I finally started out around 11. There was a Walmart in Tucker California so I stopped there to buy some needed groceries but it was one of their discount stores not a Supercenter. I was surprised to see that the McDonald's inside the store actually allowed indoor dining. I had decided to treat myself to a Quarter Pounder with Cheese meal. I tied it off with a Carmel Sunday. Wow now that's some high living there!
After lunch was set on getting back on the road to Modesto which should have been a 30 minute drive. My GPS navigator said it was around two hours. It was also plotting a very peculiar route avoiding Highway 99 which was a straight shot. I have the app set to avoid toll roads but 99 has no toll. I finally realized that it had selected a bicycle route.
Once I straightened my navigator out I got back on the road, Highway 99. Once in Modesto I drove to a Walmart but it was not a Supercenter either so I specified Supercenter in the navigator and she finally got me there.
I bought the groceries I needed and went back to aRTy to put them away. Wiggin came and got on the third seat where I was sitting and I knew he needed to go poop. We walked quite a ways before he found his perfect bush. We continued our walk behind the store and to the other side. There was a side street that dead-ended at the back corner of the store. There were a couple of RVs parked in the street, one a diesel pusher. We finished our walk and then I drove aRTy to the street and parked for the night.
I fixed some rice and canned fish for dinner. After dinner I watched some videos on Paramotors. I am seriously considering buying one. I have been to some places that would be amazing to Paramotor. Around 11 I got the sleeping bag out and called it a day.
