I woke up at 8 and let the dogs out for their morning potty break. I put in some water to boil and made coffee. I fixed breakfast of oats, toast and grapefruit. I drove back towards Highway 111. There was a fenced  lot with a bunch of old fire trucks. At one time I thought about making an RV out of an old fire truck. I think it would be an awesome RV if it was done right. I just don't have the patience or skills to do something like that. I have a co-worker that retired several years before I did. Over the years he has done a lot of welding for me. Ever since I first met him he has been restoring an old pickup. When I last saw it he had ordered a crate 350 small block chevy engine and was in the process of installing it. The new engine was a bit different than the one he'd had before and there were some interference issues he was welding on. He is getting up in age. I hope he gets it finished soon. I can relate, there are a few things I want to get done before I'm gone. I had better get busy. There was also an old Greyhound bus that would be an awesome RV.

After taking some photos I got on 111 and headed North. I decided I would check out a campground that my parents, Uncle Orman and Aunt Francis stayed at several years ago. Once there the attendant at the gate told me it would be $30 dollars a night. Before taxes I'm sure. I made a u-turn and drove south of the campground and found an old road. At the intersection there was a 60s Dodge Pickup with a camper on the back. I was pretty certain I had seen it in 2019 when I was on a road trip to the drag races in Las Vegas. I drove less than a quarter of a mile and found a nice place to have lunch. I made a ham and cheese sandwich with chips and half an avocado.

After lunch I heard a knock on the door and it was the man from the Dodge Truck. I then remember that I had actually met him. His name is Larry and he believes that all Christian Demolitions are wrong about the Sabbath. He believes that the resurrection actually happened on a Saturday. He has studied the original Greek and Hebrew scriptures to come to this conclusion. We talked for a while then he went back to his truck. A couple of hours later he came back with some canned food items for me. We talked some more and he told me he would be 84 years old this year. He was in the US navy on an aircraft carrier during Vietnam. He retired from the navy after 20 years. After the navy he owned a ranch in Northern California around Redding. I asked about his family but he said they were all gone. We talked more about his belief and he gave me this link to his Website. I find it interesting and well done. Larry suggested that I stay there tonight and I decided I would.

About an hour before dark I walk up a hill behind the RT. There was an irrigation canal running north and south. It was fenced off but there was a small tank outside the fence for wildlife. I found a mesquite tree and set behind it and watched for animals to come drink from the tank until dark. The only animal that came was a large bird.

I walked back to the RT before it got super dark. There will not be a moon tonight, close to a new moon. At the RT I cooked a can of chinese food. I served it with some Club Crackers  and finished off a bottle of Stella Rosa wine.  After dinner I watch an old training video on preparations for D-Day.

After washing the dishes I got in bed and called it a day.
