Day 45

Woke up at 8. It was a cloudy morning with a lot of seamist. It wasn't all that windy however. After the usual breakfast I spent an hour or so cleaning one of the cabinets and the fridge. Then I went out to assure everything was ready for travel. While checking the bike I noticed that the Inboard hold-down strap was missing. After closer examination I determined that it had broken. I suspected that the way I had installed it caused it rub on the foot peg. I took a stap that was partly holding down the bike cover but not necessary and used it to secure the inboard side of the bike, making sure to not route it over the foot peg.

After assuring the bike and everything else was secure I headed out to Port Author. Once there I stopped at a McDonald's and updated my budget. I also published a couple of blog entries that I had not been able to release due to not having an internet connection while I was camped on the beach.

After coffee I went to Walmart and bought some groceries and a four pack of utility tie-down straps.

Back at the RT I fixed lunch,  a leg and wing from a rotisserie chicken I had just bought in WM, an avacodo and some chips. After a couple of hours I got back on the road for Lake Charles. President Trump was just finishing his address to the nation concerning the Coronavirus as I was pulling into a Walmart. I hope and pray that this virus is not as bad as the public seems to fears. As I was driving around the WM parking lot I saw a sign that said no overnight truck parking. Since it didn't say anything about RVs I decided to give it a try. Wish me luck!
