Day 47

Woke up at 8:30 and had the usual breakfast minus a grapefruit half. Went into WM for my morning bathroom routine. Yeah you need to know that I do have to make arrangements for normal bodily functions. I typically don't poo in the RT and find a public toilet for that. Since I typically stay at Walmarts that makes it easy. After taking care of that I went to the McDonald's in the store and had a couple of senior coffees while I updated my budget. Then I went to the Auto center and was told to just drive around and get in line. Once in line the Indian attendant took my info and informed me that it would be a couple of hours. They seriously need to hire some additional help because their facility could accommodate twice the volume.

I got the oil changed after a couple of hours. During the wait I added several entries to the blog. I actually keep a journal that I use to keep track of my daily activities. It is a lot easier to keep the journal updated than trying to add entries in the blog then update the entry several times during the day.

As I was inspecting the exterior of the RT and running gear prior to leaving the auto center I noticed that the motorcycle was not positioned correctly on the rack. I couldn't tell exactly what the issue was but thought it might be due to the fact that the front tire was low on air. I asked one of the attendants if they could air it up for me if I drove closer to the exit side of the garage. He said he would have to ask his supervisor. His supervisor said I needed to go to the counter and submit a work order. I went in and found six or so people waiting in line. A very unorganized auto center. The perfect job for me would be to get paid to randomly review and rate Walmart stores. This store would not score well.

I decided to move to a location where I could remove the bike and get a clear view of what was going on. After getting the bike off I noticed that the rack was sagging a bit. This wasn't the issue related to incorrect positioning but it could result in the rack dragging if I ran over a big dip in the road. I corrected this by adding a wedge in the receiver hitch.

I started the bike and road it around the parking lot a bit. I pulled out my 12 vdc compressor and added air to the front and back tires. I loaded it back on the rack and it was once again positioned correctly. The grill cover I'd bought last April to cover the motorcycle had ripped in several places so I broke down an bought a new one here at the WM. I installed the new  cover and I think I'm ready for the thunderstorm that they are forecasting for tonight.

I then went in the RT and nuked some chili to put on the tortillas I bought earlier. I also added some of the cheddar cheese I bought. I wish I had bought some onions.

I turned on the webcam and told Martha it was on so she could have dinner with me.

I know that it is hard for us to be apart. Harder for her since she doesn't get to be with me on my adventures. To make it easier for her I have given her as much access to my simple van life as possible. She can turn on the webcam any time she likes and pan to whatever she wants to see. She can also access the Tracker that is on Wiggin. Anywhere Wiggin is I am close by.

Anyone else can have these capabilities. Just contact me if you are interested.
