Day 44

Woke up at 8 and had the usual breakfast. Around 9 a truck pulls up in front of the RT. A couple of men in Ranger type uniforms are examining the ashes of my fire. I go out and ask them what was going on. Apparently I was not supposed to have I fire that close to the vegatation and I was not supposed to burn drift wood. They wrote me a warning ticket.

I spent the morning walking the beach. I didn't find any nice shells. It was a foggy morning with a lot of seamist. I bet that is very corrosive to the RT. I will have to wash her down good tomorrow.

Checkout time was 12 so I packed up and headed out. I stopped at the park headquarters and was told that there was a free beach two miles further down the road. Before I left the park I found a water hydrant with a hose connected. Using that hose and my own hose I was just able to reach the fresh water port on the RT. After I fill up I headed to the free beach. I drove a mile or so down the beach passing a couple of trucks with people fishing.  I found a level spot parked and set up camp. The surf was pretty mild and if I would have bought the kayak I would have tested in out.

I walked the dogs down the beach for a bit then went inside for lunch. I had a tomato, onion and cucumber salad with some applesauce and half an avocado.. After lunch I took a nap. It was a perfect setting. I nice cool breeze coming through the window and the sound of the surf.

After my nap I went out and gathered wood for tonight's fire. This time I dug I shallow fire pit.

During all of today there have been 5 or 6 vehicles pass by..

I walk the beach for awhile then went inside and nuked another Hormel Dinner. This one was Turkey and dressing. It was good as well and now I know what to have next Thanksgiving.

After dinner I turned on the TV but for some reason the reception was not good tonight. After a bit I went and started the fire. I sat and stoked the fire for a hour or so then went in the RT and fed the dogs.
