Day 70
Got up and walked the dogs at 6:30. Back at the RT I relaxed and worked on submitting a few past blog entries. I made breakfast and fed the dogs at 7:30. After cleaning up I decided I couldn't put off a WMEFBM Wal-Mart Excursion for Bowel Movement. While I was in the store I bought a few groceries. When I got back to the RT I finished the letter I was writing to Mom and Dad. For some reason the inverter would not stay up so I had to fire up the generator long enough to pull up the letter on my laptop and print it out. I will go into a Walmart tomorrow and print some photos to send with the letter.
I work on the last backdated blog entry so now there is blog entry for every day of this year's roadtrip.
I nuked a couple of chimichangas for lunch. I always think it would be fun to be creative and cook some elaborate dish but I'm to hungry to wait to put it all together. That and I'm lazy.
I got on line and found a museum near by called Man in the Sea Museum. I called but no answer but since it was less than a couple miles away I decided to check it out. There were sever submersibles outside in the property. Back in my teen years I was pretty fascinated in oceanography. I remember reading articles on saturation diving. That is where divers actually live and work at the bottom of the ocean. To prevent getting a condition called the bends, where nitrogen bubbles in the blood, the divers breath a special mixture of gasses. One of the submersibles I remember reading about was at the museum. So cool! I also loved the Jacques Cousteau specials.
After checking out the museum I headed to the Russell-Fields Fishing Pier. It is a super long and we'll built pier. It cost $3 but I could come and go until midnight. I walked to the end and it seemed like I walked a half a mile. I saw a few people catching some small fish. After a bit I went back to the RT and made a Chicken, tomato, cucumber, and onion salad. By the time I was finished the sun was about to set so I went back to the pier to get some photos.
