Day 46

Got up at 7:30 to a cloudy sky. I had the typical breakfast. After cleaning up I went into Walmart and bought a foot long sandwich on clearance. Then I had coffee at the McDonald's inside.

Back at the RT I found a note on the windshield from a Jessica stating that she wanted to buy my RV. I may call her later just to see how much she would give me for it. I doubt if it is worth it to her or anyone else for that matter but I wouldn't sell the RT for less than $25k. I bought her for $12k five years ago. Funny thing is that I could get by with a smaller RV. I have considered modifying a mini van but it would have to include a pop-up top of some type. That would get pretty expensive. I did meet a elderly couple in Organ Pipe NP that had a pop-up based on a Mercedes-Benz Metris minivan. They'd had VW Westfalia in the past and really liked it. Somehow they located a company in California that modifed Metris minivans, adding the pop-up top and custom interior. It was a real nice setup. It had a solar panel molded right into the top. It was the perfect stealth camper which was funny since they had no idea what stelth camping even meant.

I started working on finishing the Two Gang Smartswitch Powered Outlet, 2GSPO. I fastened the smartswitch in the wooden cup holder using the Cammand picture anchors. I fastened the two gang outlet above the original cigarette lighter using Command picture anchors as well.. After completing the installation I tested the system and everything worked as planned.

I then wired the new 12 vdc plug to the LED lamp. It is amazingly bright and will come in handy working on the van.

I rested for a bit then drove to the auto center hoping to get an oil change. They were booked for a couple of hours so I decided to do it tomorrow. I will just hang around here tonight.
