Day 39

Woke up at 7. Had the usual breakfast and drove to a Walmart and then on to a McDonald's for coffee. I hung around the McDonald's after coffee trying to get a hold of OPM but all I ever got was a busy signal. I googled it and found out that 24000 retirees get a busy signal ever day. Janet said they called OPM twice this morning concerning Dad's tax information and the call went through both times.

I accessed my Thrift Savings and moved everything in to the G account.

I then called AT&T to attempt once again to get the S8 unlocked.  Again no results. I was told that a manual unlock was required, given a case # and told it could take 2-3 weeks. I looked online and found a cell phone repair shop close by and took my phone there. As I was walking to the shop the wind caught my blue cap and blew it off my head. In my frantic effort to recover my favorite cap I reinjured my left ankle.

At the phone repair shop the tech (Faz) said he guarantee that he could up get it unlock. It could take as little as an hour or possible 12 hours at most. I left the phone there and drove the RT to a laundrymat close by and did one load of laundry. I then went back and checked on the phone but was told it was still pending.

Then I went to a Post Office just across the street and submitted the form to have my mail forwarded to Zack. I wound up staying the night in the PO parking lot.
