Wednesday 29Jan20 Maintenance day
Day 13
Had the usual breakfast. I tried to watch the morning news but the battery was to weak to power the TV. I guess I do need solar. I am glad that I took the time and effort to get the generator running. I actually use the microwave alot.
After washing dishes I went back into WM to get the Squirt for Rainey. Then I drove to McDonald's for coffee but couldn't get a cellular connection so I couldn't update my budget. After coffee I drove to a Home Depot to buy fasteners to repair the desk side panel and end cap. I decided not to unload the bike to get to the 12vdc drill since it didn't work anyway and I didn't want to spend time trying to fix it just to drill 4 holes. Instead I bought a package (3) self drilling #8 screws to use to drill the holes which worked pretty well. I had to make several trips inside the store to get the right fasteners. All said and done I think it turned out pretty good. Next I plan to replace the damaged molding with aluminum angle molding. I will need to repair the drill in order to do that.
I hung around Home Depot the rest of the day and then drove to JohnF Kennedy Park just after the sun set. I took both the dogs for a walk around a small lake. Pete did pretty well.
