Cloud gate

Wednesday 29May19 Chicago's Cloud Gate

Pete woke me at 6 for a potty break. I laid back down but couldn't go back to sleep. I had the usual breakfast but had to use one of Granny's bowls since I ran out of paper bowls.

After cleaning up after breakfast I drove back to the Walmart I got ran off from last night. I use Walmart restrooms for my morning constitution. Always the aft restroom. It is always extra special when the handicap stall is available. One of the sympl pleasures, lol!

After I got back to RT I did a little maintenance while the dogs had their breakfast. It became obvious that I was going to run out of Pete's prescription dog food. I called around and I found it at a PetSmart close by and picked up a large bag.

It was a cloudy morning but they were forecasting a sunny afternoon. So I headed back towards downtown Chicago. Once there I drove around until I found a parallel parking spot that the RT would fit in. I bought the two hour maximum parking and walked towards the Navy Pier. I walked to the end of the pier and took some photos.

Then I headed to the Cloud Gate otherwise known as the Bean. Google Maps was difficult to follow and would tell me to walk left and then right repeatedly. I had to cross the river as well and in addition to problems getting accurate walking directions it couldn't tell me what level the walking path was on the multi level bridges.  Finally I reached the Bean.

After taking several photos I started walking back to the RT. I got there about 45 minutes after the parking time had expired.

I got back on I-94 headed towards Milwaukee and drove for about and hour and stopped at a Walmart in Waukegan Illinois. I had beef strew for dinner and watch some TV. Pete nor Wiggin seemed to want dinner so I just went to sleep.
