Canadian border

Thursday 23May19 Canadian Border

Pete woke me up around 3 am needing to go out. This happens frequently but I haven't commented on it until now. He has had a couple of accidents since we have been on the road. Those happened during the day when they were left for more than a couple of hours. It is kinda hit and miss because I have left them for longer times and no accidents.

I was able to go back to sleep and I woke at 8 to the pitter patter of rain so I was not compelled to get up. Then there was lightning and thunder so the next thing I know Wiggin is in bed with me. He is scared to near death of thunder. I finally got out of bed around 8:30. Another thing about Pete that drives me crazy that is his desire to be exactly where I am. This generally results with him being right is the middle of the floor.

After the usual breakfast I went into Walmart to get some food for Wiggin.

I finally got on the road and headed to Lake St Clair. I stopped at Walter and Mary Burke Park in New Baltimore and had lunch at a picnic table in the park.

St Clair Lake is a beautiful green lake.

After lunch I got back on the road heading towards Lake Huron. I actually arrived at the mouth of the St Clair river which connects Lake Huron and Lake St Clair. It is also the border of the US and Canada.

On the beach I met a nice couple Joe and Jo who live there in Port Huron. I talked to them for about an hour. They'd had a Roadtrek for about six years ago but sold it. They said they loved it for the same reasons I love mine and were looking to purchase another one. They had traveled a lot and it was nice to exchange some of the experiences we've had.  Their home was not on the beach but next to the beach.

I also saw an amazingly beautiful lady on the beach. Wow she had the hardest body.

After the beach I drove a little further west to see Lake Huron proper and stopped at Fort Gratiot Country Park. I took a few photos then went back to the RT and cooked dinner.

My Current location but I will be driving a bit further before I call it a day.
